Women’s Study Group:

As the Women’s Study Group, we are trying to deepen our individual relationships with God and deepen our perspectives on religion and faith as women of faith. We read and discuss studies about women of the Bible, as well as reading various women religious scholars who have important messages and/ or different perspectives on church issues. We share personal experiences as to how they relate to the readings and how we are personally affected by the readings, as well as how it all relates to issues in today’s times.  Discussions are open, honest and deeply personal. It’s sort of an enrichment course on faith. It’s also a very safe place to be completely ourselves on all issues of faith. What we share is confidential within our group. We just finished an Adam Hamiliton study titled Christianity and World Religions: Wrestling with Questions People Ask. Our next study will be a book titled, The Women of the Bible Speak: The Wisdom of 16 Women and Their Lessons for Today.  We will interrupt this book for Lent and pick up a different title,  Meeting God in Paul:  Reflections for the Season of Lent. After Easter, we will resume The Wisdom of 16 Women and Their Lessons for Today.
